Conditions for Award of Degrees

First Degrees

The rules, regulations and conditions for the award of first degrees are set out under the relevant program entry in the Undergraduate Handbook. For the list of undergraduate programs offered by the University, please refer to the 'Programs A-Z' or 'Programs by Faculty' index.

Higher Degrees

The rules, regulations and conditions for the award of postgraduate degrees, diplomas and certificates appear under the relevant program entry in the Postgraduate or Research Handbook (see Programs A-Z or Programs by Faculty index).

The conditions for the award of Doctor of Philosophy and Master of Philosophy follow.
Conditions for the award of Masters by Research for the following Faculties are listed below:

Higher Doctorates

The conditions for the award of the higher doctorates; Doctor of Business, Doctor of Economics, Doctor of Engineering, Doctor of Laws, Doctor of Letters, Doctor of Music and Doctor of Science follow.
