Description

The course is organised according to an instructional design framework to guide participants in planning their teaching and assessment activities for a university course or similar unit of study. It expands on the concepts introduced in the Course Introduction to University Learning and Teaching, and gives participants the opportunity to apply the planning concepts to their own teaching. They will learn to analyse the learning needs of their students, set learning goals and objectives, consider a range of sequencing principles for their course content, select the best teaching strategies for their goals, and align with appropriate assessment strategies. The face to face component of the course is a two day workshop
