Description This course will introduce students to the contemporary media landscape with a focus on current developments that are influencing the practice of journalism and the role of communications within private, public and community sector organisations. Students will be introduced to key concepts and skills that frame, assist and challenge practitioners working in the contemporary journalism and communications fields.
This course aims to give students knowledge of the history and contemporary status of media production and regulation in Australia. It introduces key skills required for studying journalism and communication at a post-graduate level, and introduces students to the contemporary landscape of media production. |
