Description

This is a hybrid course. It is available to both undergraduate and postgraduate students. The course content, delivery and assessment will be identical for both groups of students.

Dance Method 1 introduces students to the art and craft of teaching in general but with a particular emphasis on the teaching of dance in secondary schools. This Course draws on the experiential and acquaintance knowledge gained from observation, participation and analysis of the different approaches to Dance as an art form, and uses this as a background to an in-depth study of the Dance 7-10 Syllabus and the Dance Stage 6 (Years 11-12) Syllabus
