Description

In first year algebra, one learns of the interplay between the algebra of solving linear equations, and the geometry of lines and planes. Solving higher degree polynomials is far more complicated and leads to the study of algebraic geometry. This intensely rich field of mathematics has numerous interconnections with complex analysis, algebra, number theory and of course, geometry in general. This course will be a basic introduction to the theory.

NOTE: Course is not offered every year. Contact school for more information.
