Description

This course focuses on the strategic and production aspects of advertising and offers students the opportunity to develop advertisements and manage the production process.
Advertising campaigns will be analysed drawing upon communication theories and conceptual frameworks to identify and critique extant campaign strategies and practices, in particular, advertising planning, agency approaches, narration, the engaged consumer and citizen, globalization, digital and visual communication (images, photography, and animation), and ethical issues.
Production techniques that students will engage with include concept development, copywriting, story-telling, story-boards, and script preparation.
