Description

The main objective of this course is to introduce the key concepts, best practices, innovative ideas, practical and critical thinking of the integrative demand and supply chain management.

Students will learn a powerful approach to structuring managerial problems and visualizing the interconnectedness of business units and organizations within a supply chain. The latest innovations and advances in supply chain management will be discussed in this course. In particular, the advances of information technologies such as the Internet have a profound impact on how supply chains are structured and run.

Students will be challenged to think, discuss, share, and debate on the issues brought up. Extensive examples from industries as diverse as fashion, grocery, automobile, computers and consumer products are used to illustrate the concepts and practices.
