Description

Examines the dynamics of the Middle East and the impact of the region on the broader framework of international politics. Provides the background needed to understand the patterns of relationships between the states of the Middle East and the nature of the systems of government in the region. Topics include the impact of oil on regional security, the origins of and motives for terrorism in the Middle East, the role of organisations such as Hizballah and Hamas and the impact of United States policies on the region.
