Description

Students who want to experience the full potential of art, design or digital media should enroll in this intensive experimental art course.

Experimental arts do not simply present creative challenges. They create a range of new conceptual, linguistic and philosophical problems requiring solutions that draw upon the expertise and experience of curators, media practitioners, creative artists, visual thinkers, hardware and software engineers, architects and mathematicians. Experimental Arts have the potential to build bridges across diverse areas of study to create new areas of research towards real world outcomes.

This experimental art course will facilitate students from a wide range of backgrounds to develop practice-led research within the areas of emerging technologies. The creative ideology associated with the arts, combined with the immersive aspects of new technologies, will develop the basis for research into practice areas of experimental art.

This experimental art course has grown in conjunction with other initiatives at the National Institute for Experimental Arts.
