Description
Traditional divisions between reading and looking have been challenged by ongoing developments in media, influencing typeface design and typographic layout in publication design. This course presents the opportunity for students to explore contemporary practices in the reworking of legibility and readability in typographic design, through letterpress and digital projects that interpret historical and contemporary practices in typography.
To undertake this course students should have completed, or have one of the following:
48 UOC in Design related courses
DES6740 Introduction to Graphics Media
Knowledge and skills in graphics media design and processes
Or equivalent
