Description

This course covers the essential elements of Modern Test Theory. It introduces Rasch’s Simple Logistic Model (SLM) and Extended Logistic Model (ELM) and their applications. The focus of the course is on understanding the basic principles of Modern Test Theory and its practical uses in assessment and measurement, including test development, item banking, test equating, standard setting, computer adaptive testing and differential item functioning. The course adopts a practical approach with students learning how to use the software package RUMM© to analyse and interpret simple data sets.
