Description

This course addresses ethical, political, epistemological and metaphysical views underlying educational practices and debates. It examines topics such as the aims in education, the ideal of an educated person, neutrality and indoctrination in teaching, authority and professional relations in schooling, knowledge and curriculum construction, learning and understanding, and social justice considerations, in order to develop philosophical and critical competence and knowledge.
