Description

With the move to school-based management, school leaders need to understand the key issues relating to legal, industrial and ethical issues as they pertain to their school context. This course will provide a sound base for more effective management of legal and industrial issues at the school level. Research, laws, policy development, practice and specific case studies will be considered in areas such as industrial relations, occupational health and safety, grievances and dispute management, privacy laws, duty of care, negligence, copyright, anti-discrimination, freedom of information, intellectual property, child protection, family law and ethical decision-making.
