Description
on the provision of rehabilitation and restorative care. This course will provide students
with an understanding of the principles and theories underpinning the rehabilitation
process, and will examine and apply these to current practice. It will consider how
rehabilitation and restorative care is complementary to primary care, and how it fits in
with the principles of chronic disease management, taking into account areas such as
program planning and evaluation and the role of multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
It will have a particular emphasis on the application of rehabilitation principles and
restorative care in the community as well as in hospital settings, and will consider the
rehabilitation needs of patients with a range of conditions.
Please note that this course will be held in the UNSW Clinical Training Centre at Hammondville in Liverpool. The Unit is able to provide state of the art training facilities.
