Description

This course provides students with an opportunity to complete a research project whilst undergoing a professional placement with a research institute, an international organisation, a non-government organisation, a government agency or a member of parliament. It involves a workplace placement on a part-time basis (usually one day per week for 10-12 weeks) and the completion of a research project negotiated with the workplace supervisor. Successful completion of the internship is dependent on the fulfilment of a contract that will be jointly negotiated between the internship director, workplace supervisor and the student. The work placement will be supplemented with workshops at UNSW which focus on policy-making processes and reflective, professional practice.
