Description

This course offers a practical perspective on the strategic management of technological innovation, including management of technology projects. It is directed towards improving innovation management capabilities for the development and introduction of new products, processes and services, as well as their incorporation within existing organisations. It draws on case studies from a variety of industries and is suitable for students with non-technical backgrounds.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course students should have achieved:

1. a deepened understanding of the concepts underlying innovation;

2. informed insight into managing innovation and successfully introducing new products, processes and services; and

3. the ability to apply strategic thinking and tools to managing innovation in the private and public sector.

You are expected to achieve these outcomes in accord with the codes of ethics and behaviour endorsed by the UNSW.
