Description

ICT is a vital tool for the public service administration, where value is gained through new and improved services and products, information flows, increased productivity, and implementation of strategic initiatives. With the increasing demand of ICT based application and process, government officials are faced with the new challenges in the context of changing socio-cultural and organisational complexity. This course follows a structured step by step process of eGovernment implementation and management from conception to evaluation. Topics covered include: eGovernment concept and stages, infrastructure and architecture, eGovernment system security, business case, systems acquisition, operation, managements, governance and also political, legal, ethical and environmental (Green ICT) issues. The course will also provide an opportunity to review a real life experience through case studies from different corners of the world.
