Description

Material Thinking provides you with a practice-based platform for understanding emerging relationships between materials and creative practice in art and design. Exercises and projects will cover a range of material narratives, exploring the transition from natural to engineered and smart materials; and how this impacts on the design and production of objects, and their aesthetic and functional properties. Theory and discussion will explore perspectives on materialisation embedded in the logic and phenomenology of digital and analogue substance.
