Description

Aviation Safety Management Systems provide a formal framework for understanding and managing safety in the workplace. The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) requires member states to implement Safety Management Systems regulations for air transport operations. As a signatory to ICAO, Australia has promulgated its legal requirements, and air operators are required to observe such regulations. This course describes the requirements for Aviation Safety Management Systems, and provides a practical guide to their development, implementation and use, as well as their value in facilitating ongoing monitoring of safety health. The information and skills gained though this course are not limited to the aviation industry.
