Description

Creativity is notoriously difficult to define, explain and measure. In this course, students will analyse and evaluate differing theories of creativity as well as consider creativity’s key shifting role within the context of education including gifted education and arts education. The course focuses on four key areas: Developing an understanding of the creative object, relationships between the role of person, process and product in explanations of creativity, assessing attempts to facilitate creativity in classrooms, and developing and supporting students’ creative outcomes through teacher-student relations.
