Description

This is the compulsory first course for students enrolled in the Graduate Certificate in Business & Technology (program 7333). As such it provides students with a broad introduction to the study of business and management in technology driven environments, while at the same time developing important academic and study skills that are required of students engaged in postgraduate business education. This course examines the broad context of business, organisations and technology, by focussing on issues at the level of an organisation as well as the role of the individual in an organisation. Students who have been away from study for a period of time and/or are new to the area of ‘business studies’ may also benefit from the course.

Prerequisite: This course is offered by the MBT Program. All students enrolling in MBT courses must have at least four years relevant professional experience.
