This course supports innovative and experimental print based practices by technically and conceptually supporting a dialogue between printmaking and photography. Through lectures, tutorials and by demonstration you will learn to print black and white photographs and to make Intaglio and Screen prints. Experimentation in combining various approaches and techniques to the serial image will be supported by project based assessment that enables you to work in an interdisciplinary way within the expanded field of the hand made print. The Occupational Health and Safety procedures that enable you to work proficiently in the film development, photographic dark rooms and printmaking studios will be addressed.
