Description

This course is predominantly an introduction to infertility with areas of study including epidemiology, preliminary and advanced investigation and diagnostic techniques for both female and male factors. Although not focusing on technique the role of ultrasound, endoscopic and radiological procedures will be explored.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course we expect that you will:
• have a general understanding of the epidemiology of infertility;
• be able to assess an infertile couple in terms of relevant history, physical examination, and the ordering plus interpretation of appropriate investigations in order to diagnose the cause of infertility;
• have knowledge of the management of an infertile couple depending on the cause of infertility
