Who should do this stream?

The Master of International Public Health (MIPH) in Infectious Diseases Epidemiology and Control provides students with advanced knowledge and skills in the principles and practice of infectious diseases epidemiology and control. This stream is aimed at public health personnel who seek a career in infectious disease control in the health sector or in international health, or who wish to progress to postgraduate research in infectious diseases epidemiology.

Students must complete 48 units of credit as follows:

Stream Structure

A. MIPH core courses (18 units of credit)

PLUS

B. The following stream-defining course (6 units of credit)
PLUS

C. Two courses (12 UOC) from recommended international health and infectious diseases electives
PLUS

D. One course (6 UOC) from recommended methods electives
PLUS

E. One more elective (6 UOC) offered by the School of Public Health and Community Medicine, a project or internship:
