Stream Outline

Who should do this stream?

This stream is suitable for all those with an interest in primary health care including primary health care professionals, managers, project officers, planners and policy makers.

The Master of Public Health (MPH) in Primary Health Care is designed for students who wish to specialise in primary health care, which is reflected in their Testamur.

Students must complete 48 units of credit as follows:

Stream Structure

A. MPH core courses (18 units of credit)

PLUS

B. The following stream-defining course (6 Units of credit)
PLUS

C. Three courses (18 units of credit) from recommended primary health-related electives, including:
PLUS

D. One more elective (6 units of credit), a project in primary health care or internship:
The revised stream structure and list of electives will be available to students currently enrolled in the Primary Health Care Stream. Students who enrolled prior to Semester 1, 2016, will also be allowed to complete courses previously listed as Primary Health Care electives.
