Stream Outline

Who should do this stream?

The Quantitative Research Methods stream will equip public health graduates with knowledge of the principles of quantitative research methods that underpin public health programs and policies. The stream will be aimed at public health students and professionals interested in learning the skills required to epidemiological and biostatistical skills in their future careers and those wishing to begin the transition to a career in quantitative research methods in public health.

This stream is available to students enrolled in the dual 9047 Master of Public Health/Master of Health Management Program.

Stream Structure

Students must complete 72 units of credit as follows:
  • 7 core courses MPH/MHM (42UOC)
  • 1 SPHCM elective (6 UOC)
PLUS

Specialisation Requirement courses (24 UOC):

Two stream defining courses (12 UOC)
and

Two courses from recommended Quantitative Research methods electives (12 UOC)
