The Graduate Diploma in Art Administration is suitable for graduates wishing to extend their professional qualifications and those wishing to broaden or change direction in their professional endeavours.
It is an introduction to the field of study and is available to candidates who wish to gain new directions, different to major study of their undergraduate degree and for students admitted under Qualifications Rule 2.2 which allows entry with professional qualifications. Candidates must successfully complete eight courses totalling 48 units of credit to graduate with the Graduate Diploma. Candidates with a minimum of credit average may upgrade to the Master of Art Administration, with full credit for courses completed. The Graduate Diploma can be completed in two academic semesters. The maximum period of candidature is five academic semesters. In special circumstances an extension may be granted.
Program Objectives and Graduate Attributes It is intended that students graduating from this program will be equipped with some of the skills necessary to function in managerial, administrative, curatorial, art writing and other professional capacities within the visual arts industry.
