Description

Graduate study in Music at UNSW develops musical skills and knowledge in diverse areas of music study including musicology, music education, music psychology, music teaching and learning and/or ethnomusicology. Specialisations are offered in these areas and also in performance and composition.

Students may elect to undertake the Master of Music by coursework or the shorter Graduate Diploma in Music or include some Music courses within a program in another discipline area. These programs contribute to the development of professional skills useful in a range of careers in music such as performance, private teaching, secondary and tertiary level teaching, broadcasting, arts administration, concert planning, general arts journalism, arranging and composition.
