Education

Description

The School of Education has a strong research orientation with all staff involved in high-level research projects at the national and international level through collaborations with other researchers and educators, governments, non-government organisations and industry.

Although members of the academic staff at the School come from different disciplinary backgrounds and research traditions, they share a strong commitment to researching and improving learning and teaching and to the building of stronger educational communities, particularly in post-primary and higher education contexts. Modes of educational enquiry range from experimental, interventionist and action-oriented forms of research through ethnographic and case study research to more philosophical and critical forms of educational inquiry.

As a research student within the school you will be part of this research environment.
