Description

This course follows on from BENV2713 and further strengthens the foundation necessary for future furniture design practitioners. A series of lectures will give students a basic understanding of materials and manufacturing methods relevant to the discipline of furniture design today. The design projects conducted during this course will focus on developing design concepts into resolved design pieces. This will be achieved by working through project components such as research, design development, design detailing and the realisation of 1:1 scale models.
