Description This course critically examines the pace, scale and dynamic transformation of Sydney at the beginning of the twenty-first century. The physical form of the city, its environmental qualities and social patterns will be examined in terms of the theoretical literature on the culture of cities and techniques of reading the urban landscape. The study of Sydney's urban form and urban life will be based on a series of lectures, seminars and city walks.
