Description The students will be exposed to theory and concepts relating to the development and maintenance of physical fitness and general health. Components will include aerobic fitness and conditioning, resistance training, flexibility training, and appropriate nutritional practices. Lifestyle management issues (exercise, smoking, obesity etc) will be discussed with benefits and consequences of those actions used to direct decision making. Popular misconceptions will be addressed during the course of the subject, with research findings used to dispel these myths.
