Description

'Urban Modelling' is an intensive course covering an array of digital urban modelling techniques, with the final outcome of students producing a digital model of a real-world site and further exploring the capacity of the computer to produce spatial explorations and interventions within virtual space.
The course will be comprised of site visits and lab-based workshops. Students will work and present both in groups and individually.
The first presentation will consist of a digital site analysis performed by the students in groups focusing on specific areas of the site, thematic layerings and broader contexts.
The second presentation will be comprised of individual students explorations into the computers capacity to create virtual spaces.
All work is to be submitted digitally.
