Description

An introduction to the functional requirements and construction methods specific to single-storey domestic construction. The course examines a range of key technical aspects, including: brick, brick-veneer and timber frame construction methods and materials; domestic joinery; staircase construction; finishes; plumbing, drainage and electrical services; methods of setting out and supervision. The course also involves developing skills in on-site observation and the production of housing site reports.
