Description

Current energy resources and alternatives for the future. Basic princples of fuel conversion processes: gasification, carbonisation, oil refining etc. Introduction to combustion of solid, liquid and gaseous (fossil) fuels. Fundamentals of combustion science and engineering. Fuel plant technology. Energy management and technologies for the efficient use of fuel.

This course replaces CEIC6205, CEIC6209.
Exclusions: FUEL0040, CEIC6205, CEIC6209.
