Description

Online Course

Have you ever wished you could draw something from your imagination or from the real world so other people could understand it?

This fully online course will introduce you to techniques that will help you to accomplish this. You will learn how to use the key elements of drawing: line, tone, proportion and composition and to understand their expressive uses through experimentation with a broad variety of media including charcoal, pen, pencil, ink and chalk.

You will be encouraged to learn from direct observation and from analysis of drawings made by established artists. Drawing as the evidence of inquiry, combined with the development of skills, will form the central structure of this course.

You do not need previous drawing experience to participate in this course.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Students will receive log in instructions via their UNSW email account prior to the commencement of the course. This course is conducted via the Omnium system (omnium.edu.au).
