Description

Online Course

Animation is a powerful visual language that is not as difficult to master as you might expect. Whether you want to produce character animation for short film, develop scientific visualisations or enhance the visual power of a web page, this introductory course will give you the knowledge and skills you need to get started in Flash.

This fully online course takes you through some practical work methods in Flash that you can develop and expand in many different ways. Flash is a perfect tool to begin learning animation techniques and results can be easily published on the web.

The course also provides a general overview of traditional animation skills that can be easily combined with Flash or other software to give your work a unique look. One of the main aims of the course is not to simply equip you with specific software techniques, but teach you an appreciation of fundamental timing skills that add greatly to the professional appearance of your animations.

You will need a copy of Adobe Flash MX or later.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This course is conducted via the Omnium system (omnium.edu.au). Students will receive log in instructions via their UNSW email account prior to the commencement of the course.
