Description

The aims of this course are to increase students' knowledge and awareness of the cultural diversity of Australian society, develop their sensitivity to the needs of minority groups and explore the implications of multi culturalism for policies and practices represented through the lens of art and art education.

Through lectures and discussion groups, the course will consider Australia's history of multiculturalism and look at the issues and possibilities arising for the visual arts from multicultural education.
