Description

The workings of aviation as a complex industry remain a mystery to even the most frequent air traveller. This course provides students with a behind-the-scenes exploration of aviation from the first flight last century to the present day, and considers what aviation may look like in the future. It examines the many components of the industry ranging from the principles of flight and aviation history, to the latest advancements in military aviation, flight safety and passenger technologies. A student excursion is included, comprising a behind-the-scenes tour of Sydney International Airport – one of the world’s busiest airports. There is no additional charge for the airport tour for students enrolled in this course.
