Description

The course will work towards the development of an interactive and immersive artwork, game or application for presentation in iCinema's 360 degree virtual reality theatre (AVIE), the iCinema iDome, and/or a 3d stereo projection screen. SDtudents will make use of all the theatre's capabilities: surround 12 channel audio, real-time visual body tracking, real-time 3D stereo projection. The student will learn skills completely applicable to game development.

iCinema Studio is targeted at students of 3D Graphics and Animation (Digital media), Computer Science and Engineering and Architectural Computing, undergraduate and postgraduate. Students must have a sound theoretical understanding of computer graphics. Students must be able to demonstrate sufficient practical knowledge of relevant software tools (such as Maya or 3DS Max, C++ or experience developing real-time visualisations).
