Description

The course will facilitate each student’s expanding practice in the field of video art. It will further develop technical skills, conceptual and historical understanding in this expanding area of fine art practice. Students will also be introduced to the artistic use of simple interactive and responsive technologies including the software Isadora. More advanced techniques in Final Cut Studio 2 including Soundtrack and Final Cut Pro 6 will also be covered. Current and historical practices in video art will be critiqued and discussed. It is not designed for BFA and BFA/BA students majoring in Time Based Art.
