Description

This course will provide a knowledge of XML, and enable use and application of XML technologies in building the web of tomorrow. The power of XML is its position as an open standard, and this enables its ready adoption in a wide variety of applications. Students will learn about XML source, validation, and document formatting and will be introduced to SAX and DOM, XML databases, XForms, Web Services, XML-based e-commerce, and the Semantic Web. This is a hands-on course and includes plenty of practice writing XML source and using software tools.
