Engineering Project A - ZEIT4500 | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Description This is a capstone course in the degree. The Project affords the opportunity to take skills and knowledge from other courses in the degree, and forge a contribution to the student's discipline by a research investigation, a feasibility study, a design project or a comprehensive literature review and analysis project, chosen from a list of topics approved by the Head of School. Where appropriate, a topic may be of a military nature. Students can take significant ownership of an original piece of work, and reflect this to the wider community by presentations and a written thesis. A staff member is nominated as a supervisor to provide guidance and general supervision. Project management techniques will be adopted and assessed in the implementation of the project. A series of briefings will be used to expose the students to basic research strategies and techniques. Evidence of sufficient progress may be required from time to time.
