Description

This course explores some of the major authors, works, movements and reading theories of the late nineteenth, twentieth and early twenty-first centuries. A select of key literary texts will be read within, and/or against, a background of preceding and contemporary literary, political and artistic movements. In any particular year, the course may focus on shorter periods or discrete movements rather than survey the whole period.
