Description

This course enables students to develop their understanding of the design process in its application to product development problems of higher technical complexity than encountered so far in BID studio courses. Project work completed for this course will include the resolution of design detail to address manufacturing and performance requirements to suit end-user needs. Design communication skills evident in submitted work will be approaching a level that would be acceptable in professional design practice. In this course students will also identify a design research topic and begin the investigation that will be continued in their final year of the BID program.
