Description

Taxation affects all aspects of employment and business for graduates as they enter their profession. This course will provide students with an understanding of basic taxation issues, including superannuation and fringe benefits tax that will assist them in commencing employment. The course will also introduce the basics of business taxation issues to assist the student who may choose to set up business as a self-employed contractor or professional. The ethics of taxation and the role of the Australian Taxation Office will also be discussed. On the completion of this course students should be able to manage simple taxation affairs personally, and know when to seek professional advice.
