Description

This Level 3 Elective course in the Bachelor of Media (Public Relations & Advertising) Program examines issues and crisis communication, which is integral to the functioning of organisations, regardless of size or purpose, e.g. business, government or community. Topics include crisis management theory, researching and writing a crisis communication plan, ethical and legal aspects, risk communication, media management, strategic responses to crises, and evaluation of organisational reputation. Case studies, both Australian and international, will be drawn from diverse sectors, including airlines, education, finance, mining and energy, primary industries, and sports.
