Description

This screenings-based course will offer an overview of experimental film and video from the 1960s to the present, incorporating international and Australasian practices. It examines neo avant-garde practices, theories and philosophies alongside film and video art of recent decades. The course addresses the history and significance of the current proliferation of the moving image in the international art world and examines the impact of new technologies.
