Description

This course is intended for students undertaking creative work in ceramics for the first time. It provides an understanding of the art and design contexts of contemporary ceramic studio practice, as well as an introduction to a range of ceramic materials and the skills appropriate to their management in developing resolved studio outcomes. The course spans technical, material, formal, conceptual and aesthetic considerations, and addresses design and fabrication in both industrial and studio contexts.
