SOMA1002 Media Arts Gateway 2 is an introductory course. Students will explore the process of constructing images in motion, animation, interaction and installation practices. Working with a variety of media approaches, students will study the principles of animation, generating figures in motion in relation to a storyboard, screen animatic or electronic proof of concept. They will also examine real time processes of interaction, performance, and visualisation in spatial environments.

This course will assist students in selecting studio areas for further study. SOMA1001 and SOMA1002 are complementary and may be completed in any order.
